The congregation of All Saints' support a number of charities by holding events throughout the year. The main fundraising event is a Harvest Supper, which attracts between 60 - 70 people. After the meal there is an auction of produce, and the proceeds from the whole evening are split, usually between two charities. Last year, 2004, we raised £615 at this event.
All Saints, Rampton has been sponsoring a child, through the international Christian charity, World Vision, since 2000. The World Vision payment covers the sponsorship cost of £190 per year and any money over this donated for use at their discretion. The other half of the money raised is usually sent to Tearfund for wherever there is most need.
Additionally, the parish participates in ChristianAid Week by organising a collection in the village and holding a simple lunch in the village hall. This year (2005) we raised a total of £237.99.
